We are looking for a Team Leader Instrumentation who is eager to join our Technical Services department, based in our office in Bulle.
About the role
As Team Leader Instrumentation, you will manage and develop the Production Instrumentation service within the Technical Services department at our Bulle site. Your mission is to align the service with the site’s vision, strategy, and objectives, ensuring compliance with quality (cGMP), health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. You will play a key role in deploying HSE policy and in leading the Production Instrumentation team.
Who you’ll work with
You will collaborate with internal clients across the organization, coordinate with external partners (e.g., DIT, metrology, maintenance providers), and lead a team of Production Instrumentation technicians. You will also interact with site management and contribute to cross‑functional projects and audits.
What you’ll do
1. Organize and oversee the activities of the Production Instrumentation team within budget and regulatory requirements.
2. Collaborate with internal clients to evolve the service organization.
3. Recruit, onboard, train, develop, and evaluate team members; build versatility across the team.
4. Build and maintain service schedules; set priorities and coordinate interventions with users and external partners.
5. Manage the equipment fleet, instruments, tools, and standards; secure spare‑parts inventory.
6. Ensure proper management of instrumentation standards (type, calibration, compliance, availability).
7. Develop and monitor performance indicators to optimize cost and intervention time; lead service routines and improvement projects.
8. Act as process data owner for service software; maintain databases and perform periodic reviews (vendors, access, audit trail).
9. Ensure compliance with quality and HSE policies; lead deviations, CAPAs, change controls; support internal/external inspections.
10. Serve as backup for the Maintenance and Instrumentation Manager when delegated.

12. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field; CFC Technique or equivalent may be considered if relevant experience in the field.
13. Additional certifications in quality, safety, or instrumentation are an advantage.
14. Knowledge of GMP regulations and industrial instrumentation/metrology.
15. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnological, chemical, or food production environments.
16. Strong grasp of HSE principles and safe work practices.
17. Proficiency with IT tools: MS Office (Excel, Word), SAP, quality records and document management systems (e.g., Source), statistical tools/control charts, and metrology software (e.g., Optimu).
18. Proven ability to lead a team and work effectively in multidisciplinary environments.
19. Planning and organizational strength; sound judgment, accountability, and decision‑making.
20. Talent identification and development; ability to set objectives and drive continuous improvement.
21. Priority management, analytical and synthesis skills; problem‑solving for unforeseen situations; proactive mindset.

23. Fluency in French with the ability to communicate in English.
