For our long-standing customer, Roche Diagnostics International AG in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a Product Safety Specialist% for Electronic Diagnostics Instruments Background: As Product Safety Specialist you will be a member of the global unit "Diagnostics Product Sustainability & Compliance". The Compliance Operations department is responsible for the data and processes within Diagnostics Quality & Regulatory that enable a chemical and environmentally compliant and sustainable development, transport/handling, marketing and disposal of all Roche Diagnostics products (the so-called product life cycle). This means that they are not only irreplaceable in ensuring compliance in the interests of their patients, but also pursue the goal of significantly and sustainably reducing the environmental impact of all the products and services. Tasks & Responsibilities: Responsible for comprehensive and effective Data Management of big datasets for chemical legislation (e.g. REACH, RoHS, POP, Cal. Prop 65, TSCA), and Extended Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging, Batteries and WEEE legislation) within SAP EH&S(M) and in future, S/4HANA ensuring Compliance and Sustainability of electronic devices Maintain, develop, and improve high-performance automated data solutions (e.g. using Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Python, Scripts etc.) Ensuring data conformity, quality and integrity (according to data model); as well as carrying out plausibility checks Eliminate waste by radically simplifying processes with an emphasis on automating redundant manual processes and foster automated report creation Interacting directly with suppliers, internal customers, and subject matter experts to ensure thorough evaluation and accuracy of EH&S Data Managing EH&S Compliance Assessments for new Product Launches and Product Updates as well as managing Material Changes with impact to chemical Compliance Contact person (1st level support) for Data Requests and Reports from Customers Must Haves: Master’s degree in Environmental, Material, Natural, or Engineering Sciences, or a comparable field. Relevant experience in the electronics, medical device, or automotive industry within product safety, compliance, or product stewardship. Strong understanding of the chemical composition of materials used in electronics, devices, and packaging. Knowledge of global chemical regulations (e.g., REACH, RoHS, POP, Cal. Prop 65, TSCA) and Extended Producer Responsibility (packaging, batteries, WEEE). Experience handling large datasets, data management, and process automation (e.g., RPA, Python, scripting). Proficient with IT systems, MS Office/Google Suite, and compliance documentation. Strong negotiation, communication skills, and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. Experience in agile project management or working in agile environments.
