On behalf of a well known international company in Zurich, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced and outgoing Network Engineer with strong CISCO knowhow and knowledge of switches, routers, access points etc.
Joining a small and international platform team of three engineers responsible for the network infrastructure in a fast-paced environment, you would be responsible for the following:
• Management of the network planning, delivery, and operations for all corporate office locations worldwide
• Drive the management of network infrastructure build and implementation, ensuring timely availability of components and services are implemented according to standards
• Participation in the scope definition, procurement liaison, supplier selection and onboarding of different telco and network vendors
• Carrying out reviews of Network Infrastructure design and ensure all aspects of the Network deliverables
• Overseeing the effective and efficient provision of network services for all offices and subsidiaries globally
As the perfect candidate you are a collaborative and proactive candidate with solid experience supporting network infrastructures in a high-pressured environment. You will possess the following skills and experience:
• Strong experience as Network Engineer, with experience in networks, wired and wireless infrastructure design and implementation, network integration and connectivity
• Strong CISCO knowledge is mandatory (including certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent experience)
• Good knowledge of routing, switching, security and wireless technologies
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and define problems, coupled with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Able to communicate with different audiences and adaptable to a fast changing environment
• Sociable and a team player
• Fluency in English (additional languages a plus)
• Willingness to travel up to 30% worldwide (up to 30 days per year)
