Are you an experienced Technician in electrical engineering ready for a new challenge? At Bilfinger (formerly Stork), you will work on challenging projects for our clients in the petrochemical industry in the Botlek and Europoort areas. Whether troubleshooting, maintenance, or commissioning installations, your expertise makes a difference.
What will you do?
As an E&I Technician, you will maintain and optimize industrial installations daily. Your work ensures our clients can continue their production processes safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, inspecting, repairing, and installing specialized electrical and instrumentation systems, such as low-voltage pumps, loading systems, tank installations, network installations including CCTV, PLC hardware, and various process installations.
Collaboration and Development
You will work closely with the automation and operations teams to resolve issues, continuously learn, and enjoy diverse daily tasks. You have the freedom to organize your work independently, with a Rotterdam mentality appreciated. This role offers variety and opportunities for ongoing learning.
Your Tasks Include
* Resolving and preventing faults to ensure reliable operation of installations.
* Performing maintenance and repairs professionally.
* Inspecting and measuring installations, making adjustments according to standards.
* Testing and commissioning to meet safety and quality standards.
* Participating in on-call services approximately once every six weeks outside regular hours.
Who are you?
* A driven Technician with a background in electrical engineering and experience in an industrial environment. Safety is your top priority.
* Completed mbo4 education in Electrical Engineering or Measurement and Control Technology.
* Experience as a first technician or engineer in industry, maritime, or infrastructure sectors.
* Knowledge of assembly methods, measurement and control techniques, instrumentation calibration, logic diagrams, and control technology.
* Knowledge of ATEX standards.
* Possession of a valid VCA certificate, driver’s license, and own transportation.
If you have an mbo Electrical Engineering qualification at levels 2 or 3 or less experience, no problem! We are hiring at various levels and support further learning while working.
