Associate Product Manager Joint Reconstruction, Orthopaedics (German speaking region, Switzerland)
We are seeking a driven, customer‑focused and communicative personality to join our Swiss Joint Reconstruction business. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key areas within the product portfolio and actively contribute to commercial success in the Swiss market. You will play a critical role in product launches, market development, and cross‑functional collaboration while further strengthening your strategic and analytical capabilities in Product Management.
Objectives of the Position
Own defined product groups and actively manage performance across the full product lifecycle
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and selected external partners, ensuring strong alignment across functions
Contribute to and drive elements of go‑to‑market strategies and product launch plans
Lead or co‑lead the execution of new product launches, ensuring timely and high‑quality implementation in the Swiss market
Partner closely with Sales teams to support commercial execution, drive product adoption, and achieve business targets
Drive market segmentation, targeting, and product positioning based on customer insights and competitive dynamics
Analyze KPIs, market data, and financial performance to identify growth opportunities and support decision‑making
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospital decision makers, and internal partners
Conduct in‑depth market and competitor analysis to anticipate trends and identify risks and opportunities
Take ownership of selected projects (e.g. campaigns, trainings, events) and ensure successful execution
Collaborate cross‑functionally with EMEA Marketing, Global Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and other key functions
Ensure alignment with supply chain processes to support product availability and mitigate business risks
Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HCC, legal, regulatory)
Qualifications
Education/training in an orthopaedic or orthopaedic environment or a degree (Uni / FH / ETH)
2+ years of professional experience in product management, marketing, or sales (medical devices preferred)
Experience in orthopaedics or the healthcare industry is a strong advantage
German and English fluent (business level); French/Italian a plus
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Proactive and results‑driven mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across functions and levels
Ability to work in a cross‑functional and international environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
Travel: 20–30%
Additional Information
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, regulatory approvals, and other customary conditions. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans.
