Overview
NIQ’s Media Measurement unit delivers audience measurement solutions across TV, radio, digital, and cross-media platforms for currency clientele, including broadcasters, advertisers, agencies, and regulators. A core component of our measurement approach are panel-based methodologies, leveraging household and individual panels to ensure accurate, representative audience insights.
As we expand globally, we seek a Senior Director of Operations & Quality with deep expertise in panel-based measurement, quality assurance, KPI management, and external client engagement. This role requires a leader who can analyze, present, and defend KPIs and audience measurement outputs to internal and external stakeholders while optimizing operational efficiency.
Key Skills & Requirements
Media Measurement KPIs – Deep understanding of and ability to define and manage business-relevant KPIs and to set up a framework for continuous improvement.
Client Engagement – Present, explain, and defend KPIs, methodologies, and results to external stakeholders.
Panel-Based Operations – Lead panel recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies, deploying panel-facing technologies.
Automation & Innovation – Leverage AI, automation, and machine learning to enhance panel operations and efficiency.
Standardization & Scalability – Drive global best practices, process centralization, and cost optimization across markets.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead and develop a high-performing, globally distributed operations team.
Act as a strategic partner for senior leadership, currency clientele, and internal teams.
Foster continuous improvement and innovation in panel operations and audience measurement methodologies.
Operational Leadership & Efficiency
Oversee TV, radio, digital, and cross-media measurement operations across all NIQ markets.
Implement cost-efficient, scalable structures leveraging centralized hubs.
Drive automation, AI integration, and workflow optimization to enhance data quality.
Panel-Based Operations & Technology Implementation
Oversee panel recruitment, incentivation and other related panel methodologies, ensuring representative and high-quality audience measurement data. Own and support a high standard global panel relationship management including effective tooling and best practices.
Work tightly with technology and local teams for efficient deployment of panel-facing technologies (e.g., metering tools, mobile applications) to optimize engagement and data collection.
Collaborate with Data Science and client teams to ensure seamless integration of panel methodologies with big data and census-based measurement techniques.
Quality, KPI Management & Client Engagement
Define and monitor quality KPIs and SLAs, ensuring consistent delivery to clients.
Implement data validation processes to maintain currency-grade audience measurement integrity.
Serve as a trusted expert in audience measurement methodologies, defending and presenting results to clients and regulators.
Train internal teams on interpreting and communicating KPIs effectively.
Qualifications
Extensive global operations leadership experience, preferably in media measurement or audience research.
Expertise in panel-based methodologies – recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies.
Ability to analyze, present, and defend KPIs and methodologies to external stakeholders.
Experience in leveraging process automation, using technologies such as AI for operational efficiency.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing international teams.
Strategic mindset – balancing cost efficiency, scalability, and high-quality deliverables.
