We are seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Manager with experience and passion for the air charter, aviation, freight forwarding, logistics, or travel industry. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn and grow with the global Chapman Freeborn Airchartering team.
This position is available in Spain / Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, and Austria.
Purpose of the Role
* Proactively identify, target, and secure business opportunities for the products in the country.
* Maximize business opportunities by offering tailored solutions to meet client requirements within budgetary and operational restrictions while ensuring profitability.
* Build strong, productive relationships with new and existing clients to achieve business objectives.
* Manage a portfolio of clients and actively develop new business through initiatives like following up on leads, client recommendations, and networking.
* Create awareness of CF GSA and cargo charter products and services to acquire new regular business.
* Achieve and meet budgeted revenues for the country and client portfolio.
* Support growth of products across the country in conjunction with brokers and the EU leadership team.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Sales Strategy
* Implement sales strategies and related business objectives across the country in coordination with the Cargo Sales Manager EU and the Director GSA.
* Develop country-specific plans with broker teams aligned with sales strategies and support relationship maintenance with clients and suppliers.
* Monitor progress monthly and report bi-monthly to the Cargo Sales Manager EU and the Director GSA, highlighting issues and recommendations.
Business Development
* Identify opportunities to grow the business in new and existing markets.
* Explore new potential areas for business development.
* Stay updated on competitor activity to identify opportunities.
* Align with group sales and operations strategies.
* Collaborate with local broker departments, providing relevant information and support throughout the brokering process.
Client Relationship Management
* Cold call prospect clients to expand the existing client portfolio.
* Visit potential, new, and existing customers to generate further business.
* Maintain and develop relationships to maximize opportunities and increase loyalty.
Key Customer, Supplier, and GSA Relationships
* Generate sales activity for all products and clients/forwarders regionally and locally.
* Continuously seek new operators/suppliers to build relationships and increase active clients.
Communication
* Participate in conference calls for effective information sharing.
* Utilize the CRM system to maintain and measure client pipelines.
* Stay updated on activities of sales team members and management.
* Handle sensitive data professionally and confidentially.
What will our ideal candidate have?
* 3-5 years of relevant experience.
* Based in the specified location.
* Proficiency in the local regional language and English.
* Knowledge of the local market.
* Experience in the aviation industry.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a team player.
* Strong relationship-building, account management, and customer service skills.
* Ability to balance client needs with business objectives.
