Plan and deliver engaging extracurricular choir sessions for Pre‑K and Primary students, with a focus on musical development, vocal skills, rhythm, and confidence‑building. The position also supports the wider performing arts programme and school performances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver high‑quality choir sessions for Pre‑K and Primary students (ages 3–10) within the extracurricular programme.
Design and implement a structured and age‑appropriate programme based on a defined scheme of work, covering areas such as singing, rhythm, pitch, listening skills, and basic musical expression.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages participation, enjoyment, and confidence in young learners.
Introduce students to a variety of songs, styles, and simple harmonies adapted to their developmental level.
Prepare students for performances and showcases through structured and engaging rehearsals.
Maintain clear and progressive records of lesson planning, student engagement, and development.
Comfortable with technology and proactive in using the school’s tools to communicate with families.
Communicate effectively and regularly with parents, and reporting line.
Take responsibility for organising, coordinating, and supervising choir performances and events.
Collaborate with colleagues and actively contribute to the school’s performing arts programme.
Undertake other duties as assigned.
