Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting needs, tax reporting and financial reporting requirements for a group of companies. This includes overseeing all accounting matters with an emphasis on financial reporting, integrating new technologies and finance transformation, liquidity management, controls and accounting processes, net asset value calculations, risk management, covenant and compliance monitoring.
Key responsibilities include day-to-day operations and financial management of a holding company and several sub holdings, supporting the CFO in overseeing all subsidiaries and investments within the group.
Liaising with finance counterparts within the group to ensure timely and concise reporting and advancing efficiency and quality by applying the newest technologies is also essential.
SUPPORTING THE CFO IN CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVING ACCOUNTING, FINANCIAL CONTROL AND FINANCIAL PLANNING SYSTEMS, INCLUDING INTERNAL RISK MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEMS, AND PERIODIC ASSESSMENT OF ITS EFFECTIVENESS IS ALSO A KEY RESPONSIBILITY.
Responsibilities also include tracking investment, cash flow planning, monitoring/benchmarking performance and preparing and filing financial statements according to accounting principles in Switzerland, the Netherlands and the US, including coordination and preparation of adequate documentation for audit files.
Tax returns (VAT, WHT, CIT, Stamp Duty, FATCA forms, etc.) need to be prepared and filed, ensuring compliance with tax rulings, coordination with tax advisors and reconciliation of tax assessments to tax filings.
Maintaining and safeguarding the accuracy and completeness of master data within the group is another key responsibility.
Monthly/quarterly/yearly reports must be prepared and completed, and periodic asset valuation supported the CFO in reporting to stakeholders.
Assessing the financial impact of legal and tax documentation related to a transaction, including reporting consequences is also essential.
Ensuring compliance with organizational regulations and corporate governance principles, all applicable laws and regulations is a key aspect of this role.
Process capital calls for investments, prepare distributions of funds and support in treasury and liquidity management activities are also included in the job description.
Managing and developing team members within the finance department and supporting the CFO in various financial, IT- and other projects is a key responsibility.
Liaising with the EGS manager and supporting in cost allocation to different practices within the group, contributing to continuously improving the service offering is also essential.
Financial systems need to be managed and ensured that all management and control systems are fit for purpose on a group level.
