Vessel Operations Specialist

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Vessel Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operation of voyage and time-chartered vessels to maximize profits.
The ideal candidate must have strong negotiation, numerical, and communication skills, with experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally with handling various bulk carrier vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
* Scheduling, commencing, and managing fixtures in the internal trade capture system.
* Voyage planning, preparing, and sending detailed TC/VC instructions.
* Appointing agents and arranging disbursement payments.
* Approving and processing cargo documents such as BLs / switch BL procedures.
* Bunker planning and potentially bunker procurement.
* Freight invoicing and occasionally TCE calculations.
* Laytime calculation and negotiation.
* Monitoring vessel movements and performance.
* Assisting the finance department with evaluations of ongoing voyages and monitoring changes affecting the P&L.
* Maintaining operational records, files, and databases for the department and fleet.
Requirements:
* Swiss permit or EU nationality.
* 3-7 years of relevant experience.
* Strong negotiation, numerical, and communication skills.
