Senior Accountant / Group Finance Manager - Family Office 80%
Our client is a top-tier family office managing complex cross-border investments. Reporting directly to the COO and CFO, you will have the unique opportunity to establish the accounting functions for the group, harmonize processes, and lead change initiatives, with the potential for senior management responsibilities in the future.
The ideal candidate should possess a recognized accounting qualification and 2-3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within a financial services environment.
Duties:
* Create an internal accounting function from scratch, moving away from external service providers, covering activities for two entities (one in Geneva and one abroad), including:
* Selection and implementation of an accounting system
* Designing workflow processes to manage the expense lifecycle, including invoice receipt, expense approval (subject to rules and limits), payment generation, payment approval and release, bank reconciliation, and integration of accounting data into internal systems
* Building internal reporting systems for senior management
* Involvement in other finance-related aspects, including transfer pricing
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Accounting principles such as double entry, accruals, prepayments, journals, general ledger design, and group consolidation
* Swiss tax and VAT knowledge; international tax knowledge is a plus
* Regulatory requirements
* Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
* Tech-savvy with proficient Excel skills
