Responsibilities
We are currently looking for highly skilled programmers from junior to senior level with an affinity for and liking for mathematics and a passion for high-quality software engineering. Our openings could be qualified mostly as „back-end development,” but day-to-day responsibilities may also be connected to front-end tasks.

As a Java developer, your tasks and responsibilities may include:
1. Designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software solutions that conform to architectural standards
2. Managing and “owning” significant development tasks end-to-end (from business requirements analysis to 3rd level production support)
3. Demonstrating excellent collaboration skills in working closely with other development teams to roll out important changes and applications
4. Researching, conceiving, and developing technology solutions to extend and improve IBKR’s client-facing and back-end applications
5. Reviewing code changes made by other developers to ensure correctness, efficiency, readability, and conformity with best practices
6. Optimizing and refactoring existing code for improved reliability and performance
7. Writing and maintaining design and engineering documentation
8. Testing, fine-tuning, and deploying new software features
9. Performing maintenance, updating production configuration required for rolling out new functionality and providing technical support
Qualification & Skills
Our key requirements are:
10. Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
11. Experience in Java development
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Knowledge of SQL and/or relational databases, other data storage solutions
14. Experience in working in Unix/Linux environments
15. Experience in at least one scripting language (e.g., Unix Shell)
16. Strong communication skills in English
