Job Description
* Lead the day‑to‑day Accounts Payable activities within a centralized finance organization, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and smooth collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
* Take ownership of AP processes and controls, contributing to reliable month‑end closures, VAT compliance, and alignment between sub‑ledgers and the general ledger.
* Manage and support a small AP team, with a clear mandate to professionalize ways of working and scale the function as the organization grows.
* Play an active role in finance transformation initiatives, including process harmonization, automation projects, and system enhancements within the ERP environment.
* Support the integration of newly acquired entities, helping to align AP practices, data, and workflows within a standardized framework.
* Act as a key contact for audits and internal reviews, ensuring proper documentation, clear procedures, and strong compliance standards.
The Successful Applicant
* Proven experience as a people manager within an Accounts Payable function, with direct responsibility for team leadership, task allocation, performance follow‑up and team development.
* Background in multi‑entity and/or centralized finance environments, ideally within a Shared Services or similar structured setup.
* Solid hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end AP processes, including invoice processing, payments, supplier management and VAT‑related topics : Swiss VAT.
* Strong ability to structure, formalize and improve processes, with a demonstrated interest in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Experience working with an ERP system, with a good understanding of process flows and the ability to support system and process optimizations.
* Comfortable operating in a transformation and growth context, including team ramp‑up and the integration of new entities or activities.
* Recognized for a hands‑on leadership style, combining operational involvement with the ability to step back and drive improvements.
* Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities in a changing environment.
* Fluent in English; good command of French or German required.
