Position Details
The position is expected to last for 1-2 years. Requirements include a completed degree in veterinary medicine and an interest in oncology. This is a full-time position as part of an internship and, in accordance with our guidelines, is remunerated with a salary of approximately CHF 68,000 in the first year.
Responsibilities
* Treatment of oncology patients (with a focus on chemotherapy and medical oncology)
* Independent communication with pet owners and referring veterinarians
* Evaluation and assessment of oncology patients under the supervision of a senior physician
* Assistance with inpatient care and further diagnostics
* No night shifts are required.
* On weekends (every 3 to 4 weeks), you will be expected to assist with the care of any inpatients on a pro-rata basis.
Requirements
We are looking for an independent and proactive individual who can organize themselves well within the daily clinical routine. Colloquial German language skills (at least B2 level) and good English skills are required for this position. The possibility of a future oncology residency (medical oncology) may be considered.
What We Offer
We offer a paid oncology internship. In addition to their regular duties, interns participate in daily patient rounds, weekly journal and book clubs, as well as weekly rounds and seminars.
