Mission:
This is a great opportunity if you want to work in an entrepreneurial environment. As a mechanical design engineer, you are expected to make the customized designs for the Scheugenpflug equipment. Provide drawing support for the design and definition of non-standard custom equipment. Manage and optimise product BOM. keep the drawings and BOMs up to date. Perform other design/engineering duties as required.

Key responsibilities:
Receive engineering requirement from Sales or Proposal teams, understand technical specifications and propose engineering solutions on customer needs.
Design new parts by issuing 3D models, 2D drawings and technical documents. Special attention must be paid on the accuracy and standardization.
Being owner of the product, in charge of any modification and improvement of the product.
Understand and improve the material codification rules, create master data for new item numbers in the SAP.
Build and maintain the product BOM and routing for local manufactured products.
Support quality and purchase department to improve our mechanical part quality.
Support production line for trouble shooting to improve the assembly quality.
Communication with product company in Germany to conduct technical transfer.
Contribute to the development of engineering and product know how of the company.
Create and maintain the company’s technical database and manage the technical documentation with a good archive method.
Other ad-hoc task to be assigned by the manager.
