Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Associate Manager, Regional Sales. The position is remote, or hybrid for those located in Buffalo, NY.


Responsibilities

As an Associate Sales Manager, you will provide sales leadership and direction by cultivating relationships with decision makers to push the sales of our core brands and Private label in the Mid Atlantic territory. You will manage and execute all aspects of the company strategy, including penetration of senior account management, broker management, initiating new item distribution, and maximizing profitability of product mix and other activities important to the development of the assigned account(s).


Key Responsibilities For This Position Include

* Work with the Division Manager to develop appropriate sales strategies and build the long-term plan as part of the company’s business plan.
* Draw up, arbitrate, validate and implement category development plan with key accounts.
* Work closely with Trade Marketing to develop and implement sales plans at all customers to meet stated goals.
* Develop and monitor KPI’s for brokers and customers.
* Manage broker activities effectively and respond to competitive pressures and changes at the customer level.
* Review market activity weekly using IRI or designated tools; identify profitable opportunities and develop strategies with key accounts and Lactalis commercial team.
* Work with senior sales managers to develop Customer selling stories and provide support as required.
* Submit timely and accurate reports of activities and expenses as required.
* Participate in Trade Shows and attend key client/stakeholder meetings to build relationships and strategize opportunities.


Work Conditions

* Travel required up to 50% monthly.
* Target sales area includes MD, NC, OH, PA, TN, VA.
* Extended hours may be necessary depending on project needs.
* Tools such as a computer, phone, and/or allowances may be provided.
* A cell phone is required.

* If located within a commutable radius of Buffalo, NY, regular in-office presence is required per Hybrid Work Policy. Remote work within the general sales territory may be considered.

Qualified Applicants Will Contribute The Following


Education

* Bachelor's degree is required. Equivalent years of experience may be considered.


Experience

* 3+ years related CPG sales experience is required.
* Experience within the food/beverage industry is strongly favored.


Certifications and specific knowledge

* Working knowledge of US retailers & Dairy industry.


Competencies

* Strong administrative skills and ability to develop working relationships with all major functions within the company.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Working knowledge of syndicated data platforms.

Salary Description: $73,000 - $89,000
