Job Description: Our client, based in Vaud, is seeking a Bonding and Painting Special Process Expert. Reporting to the Methods, Facility & Planning Manager, you will be involved during the specification and preliminary design phase, in the detailed design phase, and after serial go phase.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with teams across the business to bring ideas to the Process Engineer or the PIM to guide product definition, aiming to improve manufacturability and achieve QCD targets.
Your Responsibilities: Contribute to the tender phase, especially in product design and industrialization, considering industrial constraints to optimize costs and minimize risks.
Assist during specification and design phases in making technical solution decisions related to special processes.
Collaborate with product engineering to redirect design if necessary.
Develop the special processes REX and coordinate with product engineering for design adjustments.
Manage industrial risks through Process FMEA and implement improvement actions.
Define requirements and rules for tooling necessary for production start-up.
Qualify the product/process pair and industrial means in line with the design specifications.
Ensure deployment and validation of new processes according to project timelines.
Document relevant procedures within the Quality System.
Guarantee internal control and proper application of process rules aligned with customer requirements.
Support Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams during quality crises.
Your Profile: Engineering degree in chemical or materials engineering is mandatory.
Willingness to work in mechanical process engineering activities is required.
Ideally, trained and qualified as EWF 517-01 European Adhesive Engineer.
Proficiency in French and English is required.
Technical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, including writing manufacturing instructions, task sequencing, and tooling specifications.
