Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Developer, Apparel, to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.
Let’s Talk about the Role
As a key member of our Product Development team, you will provide insights and suggestions and share information to deliver quality products on time at the right cost for the intended performance use.Your work will be performed under general guidance and direction, which may require the initiation of contacts to resolve and discuss mutual problems or collaboration on procedures or transactions.Infrequent overseasdevelopmenttravel may be necessary.
How You Will Make a Difference
* Develop product across multiple genders by product category depending on the seasonal style count and expertise.
* Participate meetings and execute against the Product expectations for product quality, cost (predictive costing)
* Own Product specifications, measurements, BOM, Fit creations and maintenance.
* Communicate effectively and clearly with Asia sourcing & vendors, TD/ GPC / GSP
* Collaborate w/ design & merch to support the line plan through product execution and signing of for bulk production.
* Hit required product creation milestones and execute on strategy
* Work w/ Global Product costing team in VFA and internal merch/ design teams on seasonal FOBs to support Gross margin growth.
* Be an engaged and committed team-mate, Be a facilitator in negotiations.

* The ability to work with cross-functional teams, includingConsumer Research,Research and Development to compile and evaluate research on future product requirements andidentifyenhancements to current products
* The aptitude to helpthe Product Developmentteamestablishstrategies ranging from product pricing, design, marketing, advertising, packaging, and future products to manage the product family’s life
* An understandingandknowledge of Timberland’sprinciples,practices,and procedures
* The resourcefulness todeterminea course of action based on guidelines andmodifyprocesses and methods asrequired
* The capability to resolve issues which are often varied and non-routine
o Applypreviousexperience toidentifythemostappropriate optionor improve existing approaches
o Seek clarification when needed
o Undertakeanalysis and investigation to solve differing, but related, problems
* Thetalentto conveycomplexinformationto occasionally divergent audiences that may require some persuasion
o In some instances,audiencesarenot knowledgeable of the subject matter
o Or anobjective review ofdifficult workproblems, obtaining cooperation or approval
