Starting September 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with the workplace in Glarus.
Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for the management and strategic development of Social Services (personnel, professional, organizational, and financial)
* Promotion of a respectful leadership culture as well as support and development of employees
* Control through annual planning, budgeting, and controlling
* Initiation and implementation of future‑oriented concepts and further development of processes, structures, and quality standards
* Review of social assistance orders, objection and complaint responses, and financing issues
* Participation in the management of the main Social Department
Qualifications
* Education at tertiary level in social work
* Personality with proven professional and leadership experience in the social sector and in the service areas of Social Services
* Target group‑appropriate written and oral communication skills
* Knowledge of administrative organization and understanding of political contexts
* Resilience and high social competence
* Negotiation skills and implementation strength
