Role Description:

The
IT Support Specialist
provides technical assistance and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, hardware, software, and networks. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and resolving technical issues efficiently and professionally. The IT Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for employees or clients requiring assistance with technical problems, system access, or IT-related inquiries.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and supporting the maintenance of network connectivity and security. The IT Support Specialist will respond to support tickets, monitor system performance, and escalate complex issues to higher-level technical teams when necessary. Additionally, the role involves maintaining documentation of support activities, assisting in user onboarding, and providing training or guidance on technology use and best practices.

The ideal candidate is a solution-oriented, service-minded professional with strong problem-solving and communication skills. They possess the technical expertise to handle a variety of IT challenges while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure. The IT Support Specialist must demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to providing high-quality user support in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or vocational training in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 2–4 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk operations, or system administration.
* Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and office software applications.
* Experience with hardware troubleshooting, network configuration, and IT security fundamentals.
* Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, and remote desktop tools.
* Basic knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to issue resolution.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently or in a team.
* High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to data protection and confidentiality.
