A dynamic start-up in the digital health sector is seeking a hands-on Managing Director to take charge of its operational and strategic growth. Operating at the forefront of its niche, the company has built a strong foundation and is poised for significant expansion in both existing and new markets.
The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in the company's day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution of projects, scaling processes, and driving efficiency across all business areas. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record in scaling businesses.
Job Description
* Oversee and manage the company's core operations, ensuring systems, teams, and processes are optimized for growth.
* Identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions to improve workflows, productivity, and service delivery.
* Directly manage key strategic projects, including platform development, market rollouts, and operational enhancements, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
* Build and maintain a high-performance team, recruiting key talent and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
* Establish clear operational goals, track performance metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
* Collaborate closely with the board and CEO to translate strategic visions into actionable plans and ensure alignment on priorities and execute its strategy
* Drive the development of infrastructure and systems to support market expansion and future growth.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all operational regions, embedding best practices into day-to-day activities.
* Maintain a customer-first approach by enhancing service offerings and identifying opportunities to meet emerging market needs.
The Successful Applicant
* Proven experience in senior leadership roles with significant operational oversight, such as COO, Operations Director, or Managing Director.
* Proven success in scaling operations, driving efficiency, and delivering results in fast-growing companies, ideally in digital health, IT, e-commerce, or similar industries.
* Experience in working in small organisations, scale up, start-up and its exit strategy
* Strong hands-on experience in driving digitalisation, automize processes and systems
* Expertise in managing complex projects and optimizing operational improvements.
* Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks in international markets is an advantage.
* Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, Healthtec or a related field; an MBA or similar qualification is a plus.
* Pragmatic and hands-on leader with a strong focus on execution.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions quickly.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead diverse teams and engage stakeholders.
* Entrepreneurial and adaptable, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
