About the Role Markem‑Imaje is a trusted world manufacturer of product identification and traceability solutions, delivering fully integrated solutions that enable product quality and safety, regulatory and retailer compliance, better product recalls, and improved manufacturing processes.
We are looking for a new HR Business Partner (50‑60 %) based at our Headquarters in Vernier, Geneva, to start on 1 June 2026 or as soon as possible.
As a member of the Global HR team, you will be the Human Resources Business Partner for our HQ in Vernier and for our innovation operations in Marly (Fribourg), totaling over 40 employees. In this role you’ll own the people & organizational plan, manage the employee life cycle, and oversee HR operations, including payroll.
What you will do
Provide strategic and operational HR advice and guidance across the two locations.
Develop, deploy, and implement HR processes across the two sites.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness and talent strategy.
Coach and support people managers to enhance the performance, development, and engagement of teams.
Support succession planning and pipeline development for critical roles.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to attract critical talent.
Lead organization design and development projects as determined by business needs, including M&A integration if required.
Support career growth, performance, development, and coaching for managers.
Play an active role in HR transformation projects.
Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, e.g., disciplinary and absences.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
Provide advice and guidance on reward topics including benchmarking with people managers and employees.
Accountable for the HR Operations Specialist with regard to process implementation, payroll, pension fund, and benefits.
Monitor key workforce metrics including engagement, retention, capability, and leadership effectiveness.
What you need to have
Proven track record of a minimum 10 years as an HR Business Partner within a matrix, international, and operations‑focused organization.
Solid understanding of employment law in Switzerland.
Ability to build rapport quickly with the members of the management team up to the CEO.
Confidence in advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.
A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development, and reward for individuals.
Full proficiency in English.
Communication skills, results orientation, ownership, teamwork spirit, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
