To contribute to the proper functioning of its service, the SE of the City of Lancy is looking for a:HEAD OF GREEN SPACES UNIT100% positionPermanent contractYour missionPlaced under the direct responsibility of the head of service, this position aims to implement the management and development policy for green spaces with a focus on ecological transition and social cohesion within the municipal territory.Main activities- Plan, coordinate, and steer the unit's activities as well as the teams, ensuring efficiency, compliance with deadlines, and quality of work.- Ensure the human resources management of the teams, promote a constructive work environment, supervise employees, and manage conflictual or disciplinary situations if necessary.- Translate the service's strategies and policies into objectives and contribute to their achievement by providing advice, professional expertise, and support.- Ensure the planning and development of the landscape and biological qualities of the municipal territory.- Guarantee the sustainable maintenance, management, and development of green spaces, urban and landscape furniture, football fields, and the cemetery, while paying attention to usage as well as biodiversity.- Supervise horticultural production and organize the provision of plants compliant with Bio Suisse specifications.- Develop, monitor, and control the unit's validated budgets (operating and investment), and report discrepancies if necessary.- Actively participate in service projects and transversal projects of the community.- Guarantee compliance with safety requirements across all managed spaces as well as within the teams.- Participate in commissions, public meetings, and municipal events.Your profile and skills- Hold a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (CFC) as a landscape gardener, supplemented by a federal certificate in horticulture in the fields of management and/or biodiversity.- Have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.- Master French orally and in writing.- Be comfortable with standard office software.- Know drawing and georeferencing tools such as AutoCAD and GIS.Additional information:Application deadline: May 25Start date: As soon as possibleActivity rate: 100%Type of contract: PermanentSalary scale: Class 19Workplace: Chemin des Rambossons 23 - 1212 Grand-LancyReady to take on new challenges?
