Responsibilities
* Translation of system requirements into the design of integrated RF/mmW circuits
* Layout and verification of integrated RF/mmW circuits
* Implementation of research ideas into relevant scientific results
* Potential supervision of BSc/MSc students
Qualifications
* Team oriented attitude
* Creative thinker with strong problem solving skills
* Good written and oral communication skills in English
* MSc or PhD in electrical engineering or equivalent practical work experience
* Knowledge of EDA (Cadence or Synopsys) frontend and backend circuits with basic concepts such as circuit noise and linearity, linear amplifiers, low-noise linear transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), automatic gain control (AGC) circuits, and linear equalizers
* Prior knowledge of or knowledge of heterojunction bipolar transistors
* Experience in testing and debugging high-speed analog and mixed-signal ICs, as well as experience with physical design and verification (passive component design using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and EMX or HFSS)
