Job Purpose
The Stock Take Assistant supports the School Shop Manager during the bi‑annual inventory period. This temporary position focuses on stock counting, organisation, data accuracy, and preparation of the shop for the new academic year.

* Respectful of confidentiality (pricing, margins, internal processes)
* Have basic IT skills
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
* Physical Stock Count
o Count all merchandise accurately (uniforms, branded items, unbranded items, accessories, etc.)
o Follow stock‑take procedures as instructed
o Record quantities clearly and correctly
o Double‑check discrepancies when required
* Inventory Control & Organisation
o Reorganise shelves and storage areas during counting
o Ensure products are correctly labelled and sized
o Identify damaged, missing or obsolete items
* Data Entry & Accuracy
o Input stock data into the inventory system
o Maintain accuracy and attention to detail
o Report any inconsistencies immediately to the School Shop Manager
* Shop Preparation
o Assist in preparing the shop for back‑to‑school opening
o Organise uniforms by size and house
o Support restocking and merchandising where needed
* Working Conditions
o Temporary assignment
o Physical work (lifting boxes, standing for extended periods)
o Teamwork with the School Shop Manager and assistants
o Busy and fast‑paced environment
* Other Tasks And Responsibilities
o Undertake any other tasks reasonably required by the School Shop Manager to assist the smooth running of the School Shop
o Understand and implement all school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding children and young people
o Understand the School’s Guiding Principles and uphold the ethos of the School at all times
Working Conditions
Temporary assignment involving physical activity such as lifting boxes, standing for extended periods, and working in a busy and fast‑paced environment.
