Role Description
The Purchasing Land Operations Manager (Hotel Buyer) is responsible for contracting hotel allotments for Viking's river cruises, reporting to the Director of Purchasing, Land Operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Negotiate and finalize contracts, monitor performance, and evaluate new hotel partners.
2. Inspect hotel partners to ensure standards are met and build strategic relationships.
3. Coordinate with Land Operations Managers for seamless operations.
4. Improve purchasing methods for efficiency.
5. Secure hotel rooms and F&B services for contingency planning.
6. Use reports and data analysis to track performance and quality.
7. Process payments and invoices accurately.
8. Perform additional tasks as needed.
Key Qualifications
* Experience in hotel procurement or related fields.
* Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines.
* Strong negotiation skills and data analysis abilities.
* Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Willingness to travel up to 20% across Europe and work occasional weekends.
