We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Analyst to support the finance function on a short-term project basis. This role is fully remote and suited to a hands-on professional who can independently manage bookkeeping activities through to trial balance.
Tasks
* Verification and posting of all financial transactions, including:
* Accounts receivable and accounts payable
* Payroll transactions
* Reconciliation of:
* Supplier accounts
* Credit card expenditure
* Bank statements
* Reconciliation of all accounting and payroll ledgers to trial balance
* Maintenance and updating of all general ledgers, including nominal ledgers
* Processing and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
* Preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports up to trial balance level
* Submission of financial reports to the company's external UK accountants
* Support month-end and year-end close processes in collaboration with external accountants
Requirements
* Minimum 18 months' experience in bookkeeping / accounting
* Strong hands-on experience with DATEV or similar
* Full access to your own accounting software
* Advanced Excel
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
* Immediate start
* Fully remote-based
* Candidates must be available for a minimum of 2 months
