Postdoctoral Fellow in (photo)electrocatalysis

For the Electrocatalysis and Interfaces group of the Electrochemistry Laboratory, we are looking for a postdoctoral fellow. The project is dedicated to the mechanistic investigations of molecular Co-based photo- and electrocatalysts for the CO2 reduction reaction.
Your tasks
* Your work will focus on investigating activity and mechanistic insights of the molecular Co-based electro- and photocatalysts for the CO2 reduction reaction
* Various cobalt-containing molecules and materials will be synthesized and characterized using spectroscopic techniques (NMR, UV-vis, IR, etc.); the activity will be tested electrochemically, and mechanistic insights gained in situ with lab- and synchrotron- and XFEL-based techniques
* During your postdoc, you will interact with your colleagues within the electrochemistry laboratory, beamline scientists, as well as international collaborators
Your profile
* You have a doctoral degree in physical chemistry, chemical physics, chemistry, materials science, or a closely related discipline
* Strong background and experience in electrocatalysis, photocatalysis or ultrafast X-ray techniques is preferred
* You have an active interest in experimental work and take the initiative for new solutions
* Being able to work independently in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research team
* Good communication and writing skills in English are required
