Key Responsibilities
* Take end-to-end ownership of requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and delivery — driving progress without waiting to be directed.
* Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to elicit, prioritise, and validate business needs, managing expectations and change effectively.
* Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process models.
* Proactively identify and resolve blockers by engaging the right stakeholders across business, IT, and vendor teams — with confidence and persistence.
* Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and third‑party vendors, ensuring alignment and momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
* Maintain and groom a well‑structured backlog; drive prioritisation to keep delivery focused and on schedule.
* Develop and execute test plans; validate solutions against requirements and coordinate UAT with business stakeholders.
* Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation including BRDs, functional specs, data/API specifications, and process flows.
* Identify and elevate risks early, and own the mitigation process through to resolution.
* Support change management activities, including training materials and user onboarding, to ensure smooth adoption.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of BA practices and delivery standards within the team.
Key Skills
* 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT delivery environments, ideally within financial services or insurance.
* Proven track record of taking ownership and driving delivery — not just documenting, but actively unblocking and progressing work.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to chase, challenge, and coordinate across multiple teams and seniority levels.
* Hands‑on experience with requirements engineering, process modelling, and data/API analysis.
* Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies; experience managing and prioritising a delivery backlog.
* Skilled in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, UML diagrams, swim‑lane flows, and functional specifications.
* Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Swagger/OpenAPI, and standard office productivity suites.
* Familiarity with system integration patterns, data synchronisation, and ETL concepts is advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German (any level) is a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
