Therefore, you will need to live and have the right to work in the location. /p h3Position Summary /h3 pThis position is responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining shipboard IT programs, procedures and policies as they relate to IT operations including training development, operational excellence performance, SOP / SQM governance and situational planning. You will require a comprehensive understanding of ocean/river shipboard IT operations, especially guest experience interaction with our technology along with associated policies and governance to enable technical and operational support decisions. The role’s primary focus is to ensure sustainable IT service levels that lead to high guest satisfaction ratings and high system availability in order to maximize revenue opportunities and operational excellence. The River Fleet IT Superintendent must perform independently, and proactively collaborate internally and externally to solve technical and business problems. Leads others, either directly or indirectly, and is accountable for the results of the team and/or function. /p h3Essential Duties and Responsibilities /h3 ul liPoint of escalation for IT operational challenges that are complex in nature and require a multi team effort to resolve /li liCreate, execute and maintain the Shipboard IT training development plans /li liCreate, execute and maintain the Shipboard IT performance evaluation plans (90 day evals, KPIs, etc.) /li liDefine and drive standardized Shipboard IT operational practices /li liAnalyzes incident, problem change tickets with a goal of maximizing uptime of systems by eliminating repeat issues /li liCommunicate Shipboard IT operational excellence performance, concerns and successes to the IT Fleet Management Group through multiple data source reports /li liReview / coordination / planning of special events requiring shipboard IT participation (First Turns, Charters, Repositioning, Deviations, Dry Docks, Newbuilds, Inaugurals, etc.) /li liCultivate and foster active communications/relationships with shipboard resources and relative support teams /li liProactively reviews shipboard IT Operations and implements, maintains, and updates operational policies (SQM) and procedures (SOPs) /li liResponsible to ensure all IT functions/processes completed onboard are in compliance with all releva3nt governance. SQM, SOX, PCI etc. /li liEvaluate / manage all technology funding requests from onboard staff to ensure the vessel technology is kept on a constant technology lifecycle /li liMember of the IT Department Emergency Management Team, coordinating/planning operational changes required during Emergency situations /li liOversight and guidance of a complex multi-million support budget across all vessels /li /ul h3Knowledge and Skills /h3 ul liMinimum of 3 years’ experience within Shipboard IT support, preferably River /li liComprehensive understanding of ocean/river shipboard IT operations /li liProven experience of sustaining IT service levels that lead to high customer satisfaction /li liPrior experience leading, motivating and developing direct/indirect team members /li liDemonstrates ability to perform successfully in an open environment where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and peers is ordinary /li liExperience leading Operational Support teams /li liExcellent organizational and analytical skills /li /ul h3Other Requirements /h3 ul liFlexibility with working hours, including nights / weekends at times to assist with incidents /li liMust be able to travel globally, within short notices /li liPossibility of up to 30% travel may be required /li /ul pThe position is office based, but may require the employee to visit vessels in service or in dry dock.
