Job Description
The elementary 1st shift custodian will manage day-to-day maintenance and custodial concerns throughout the property. Must pass a mandated criminal history background check and have the ability to work well with children, faculty, and staff. Inappropriate language or lewd conduct will not be tolerated. Professionalism is a must.
The Lead Custodian oversees the daily operations, and all concerns will go through them first. While most cleaning is done on non-student shifts, some cleaning may be necessary on 1st shift. Maintenance outside the scope of custodial work may be directed to the OHUSC Maintenance Department via communication or work order process. Custodians will handle email/radio requests and work order requests for their building and grounds.
The general work schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with shifts adjusted as needed. Exceptions to hours can be made by contacting the Maintenance Director and Building Principal. Holidays and scheduled days off vary each year; a calendar will be available online and posted throughout each building. Vacations should be approved by the Director of Maintenance, Lead Custodian, and Building Principal. Call-offs for sick or personal days should be communicated by text or phone call to the Lead, Director, and Principal.
