We are looking for a Project Quality Manager to take ownership of quality throughout the entire project lifecycle — from project kick-off to final customer handover.
In this role, you will act as the key quality interface between customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams, ensuring that all electrical and mechanical components meet contractual, regulatory, and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
* Take full quality responsibility across the complete project lifecycle
* Lead project kick-off and pre-inspection meetings
* Coordinate inspection, testing and documentation requirements with customers, suppliers and internal departments
* Plan, organize and conduct inspections and acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) for mechanical and electrical components
* Ensure supplier quality and compliance with contractual and technical specifications
* Review and validate quality documentation before delivery
* Manage non-conformities (NCR), root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Support project management with quality risk assessment and mitigation strategies
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO, PED, ATEX, ASME)
* Act as the main quality contact for customers during project execution
Qualifications
* Degree (BSc/MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education
* 8+ years of professional experience, including several years in industrial quality management
* Experience in project-based environments (energy, heavy machinery, industrial equipment, EPC, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PED, ATEX, ASME or similar
* Experience conducting inspections, supplier audits and acceptance tests
* Structured, process-oriented thinking with strong problem-solving skills
* Confident communication skills in German and English (negotiation level)
* Willingness to travel approximately 20% (mainly within Switzerland, occasionally international)
