Process Engineer CNC Machining
The position holder will define, implement, and continuously optimize engine piece part Machining repair processes in accordance with OEM prerequisites and data, involving but not limited to: Milling, Turning, Grinding and EDM. You will determine requirements for new processes or equipment and implement process improvements in close collaboration with Shop Floor Operations. Your role is of central importance as it is the link between Operations, Process Engineering, Tool and Equipment Engineering, Shop Engineering, Machine Maintenance, and external sources.
Your tasks
Define standardized Machining repair processes based on approved data and ensure that these meet applicable quality and compliance standards, covering NC/CNC Milling, Turning, Grinding and EDM processes
Support Operations in their day-to-day duties, including provision of tailored training
Perform process reliability audits, diagnose process failures to identify root causes and develop and implement respectively sustainable solutions
Support the introduction of new repairs for industrialization and renewal of approvals
Actively propose process improvements and lead/monitor their implementation
Drive innovative solutions to technical challenges that will lead to improvements in yield, cost, quality or efficiency of the process(es)
Investigate and implement plans to apply novel process technologies
Establish machining process metrics
Create, process, visualize, and analyze datasets related to machining processes and procedures
Manage project according plan and define mitigations when necessary
Provide support when requested to Operations, Repair Engineering, Tooling Engineering and/or Shop Engineering
Your profile
Scientific/Technical degree MSc or BSc Mechanical Engineering
Experienced in Manufacturing and/or Maintenance of rotating equipment
Experience in CNC machining in the areas of milling, turning and grinding and EDM processes
Good knowledge of CNC programming on Siemens 840D & ONE and Heidenhain iTNC 530 & TNC 640
Experience project management, statistics, data analysis
Proactive and flexible character with a strong achiever mentality and the ability to work autonomously on complex tasks
High safety, quality, and cost awareness
Fluent in English (Level C1), German (Level B1) is an advantage
