Job Description:
In a cutting-edge Software Development Center, we are developing the next-generation Cloud-ready solution that controls high-precision laboratory measurement instrumentation. This innovative system collects and processes measurement data from around the world, supporting multiple languages.
We are seeking a motivated Lead DevOps Engineer to further expand our leadership role in this field. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the backlog of all DevOps activities, working closely with project managers on prioritization and execution. You will also lead the DevOps Team (10 team members), plan, design, implement, and test application deployment strategies, and develop solutions for automated deployment of production and testing environments.
Your Responsibilities:
• Technical lead of the DevOps Team
• Oversees the backlog of all DevOps activities
• Work closely with project managers regarding prioritization and execution of DevOps activities
• Plan, design, implement, and test application deployment strategies
• Develop solutions to automated deployment of production and testing environment
• Evaluate and integrate appropriate tools for monitoring, tracing, and diagnosing applications
• Review and analyze product and system specifications and provide technical recommendations in your field of expertise
• Guide and train teams on best practices regarding container deployment, testing, and management
What We Are Looking For:
You should have at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related technical/scientific discipline. You must bring several years of work experience in leading a technical team, familiarity with phase models, and agile methods. Proficiency in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code, preferably in Azure DevOps, and deploying and securing container-based systems such as Docker, Kubernetes on private and public clouds is required. Experience in programming languages and/or scripting languages like C#, Python, Shell, and knowledge of operating systems, especially Linux, general networking, cloud infrastructure, system monitoring, and operating CI/CD pipelines is expected. Fluency in English, oral and written, with good communication skills is necessary. German is a plus.
