As a Process Engineer Battery Solutions in Bühler's Grinding & Dispersing Business Area, you will drive our innovative Dry Battery Electrode project and support key customer projects worldwide – from trials to commissioning. If you enjoy combining process engineering, hands‑on project work, and direct customer interaction, this role offers you the chance to shape the next generation of battery production together with an international team.

This is where you'll excel
In this exciting position as a Process Engineer, you will participate in a strategic development project on the topic of "Dry Battery Electrode", which focuses on the construction and maintenance of a demonstrator in Korea and the transfer of laboratory findings to industrial production scale.
You will also be responsible for supporting various customer projects – from process engineering tasks, the implementation and evaluation of customer trials to the presentation of trial results internally and externally.
You will take process responsibility during commissioning of customer plants worldwide.
You enjoy supporting the sales team, the engineering team as well as the customer service organization.
You will be responsible for internal and external training and consulting on process engineering issues both internally and at the customer's site.
These are the skills you'll need
Technical education (apprenticeship or degree FH/HF) in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering (or similar) and at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the battery industry or in plant engineering or University degree in the above‑mentioned fields and at least 5 years of experience.
Experience in the battery industry: processing of battery materials, especially in the field of electrode paste processing and/or dry processing (DBE) as well as in scaling/industrializing processes (desirable).
Expertise related to processes and materials up‑ and downstream along the value chain for battery manufacturing is an advantage (desirable).
Very good communication skills in English (German is a plus) combined with a strong customer focus, problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on mentality.
Willingness to travel up to 50% worldwide.
