Are you our new team member who will support us as Deputy Operations Manager / Catering Manager starting September 1, 2025?
You typically work from Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend shifts possible during events. Our range of tasks includes:
* Deputizing for the operations management during absences
* Planning and executing events, banquets, and occasions, including preparation and follow-up
* Selling banquets and catering services and exploring new business opportunities
* Developing the catering offerings and continuously reviewing their relevance and attractiveness
* Welcoming and attending to guests
* Ensuring guest and employee satisfaction
* Understanding, clarifying, and fulfilling guest needs and wishes
* Assisting in staff scheduling
* Participating in daily business and supporting service teams across various outlets
* Shared responsibility for monthly inventory
* Assisting with procurement of F&B and non-food items
* Handling administrative tasks (quotations, invoices, statistics, etc.)
* Monitoring and implementing hygiene, safety, and sustainability policies
* Coaching and developing team members
* Ensuring smooth, cross-team collaboration
* Leading briefings and debriefings
Your success recipe
* Completed vocational training as a restaurant specialist or equivalent
* Additional training in administrative topics
* At least 5 years of professional experience in gastronomy
* Leadership experience preferred
* Experience in banquets and event management
* Good spoken and written German skills
* Good spoken and written English skills
* Driver's license category B

Your workplace
Gastronomy at Technopark Zürich. The restaurant offers daily fresh, seasonal dishes to up to 600 guests. The coffee bar seats about 60 visitors. We also handle various internal and external catering, events, banquets, and receptions for up to 450 people.
