Process Engineering Engineer (m/f/d) – Operations Engineering / GMP / Pharma / German

As a process engineer, you will work in the "Site Infrastructure Engineering" department, primarily in the "Energy and Media KAU" group at the Kaiseraugst site. The "Site Network Basel/Kaiseraugst" organization, part of the global "Corporate Strategy, Sustainability & Sites" group function, provides the infrastructure and services for the entire site and continuously develops them in an innovative way. The "Energies and Utilities" group is responsible for ensuring energy and utility supplies, building operations, and maintenance services at the Basel and Kaiseraugst sites. Roche Pharma's "Site Infrastructure Engineering" group is responsible for the innovative, cost-effective, and GMP-compliant planning and implementation of investment projects at the Basel/Kaiseraugst site. The "Energies and Media KAU" group ensures the reliable implementation and further development of our existing and future site and energy systems at the Kaiseraugst site.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundational education with a degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or utility engineering and five years of professional experience in the energy sector as a project manager or sub-project manager. They will have at least three years of professional experience in operational engineering, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
Main tasks and areas of responsibility:
* Operational engineering in the areas of infrastructure, energy generation as well as in office, laboratory and production buildings, if necessary in a GMP environment
* Responsibility as project manager for compliance with costs, deadlines, quality and safety in investment projects
* Concept development, planning, implementation and handover of systems for the supply and disposal of media such as water/wastewater, steam, heating/cooling media and technical gases, analysis of internal customer needs and their effective solution
* Assuming technical responsibility for the relevant areas in projects
* Collaboration with internal departments and external partners from planning to operation of the plants
* Maintenance of project and work documentation including electronic filing (Comos system)
Must Haves:
* Solid basic training with a completed degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or supply engineering FH / ETH
* Min. 5 years of professional experience in the energy sector as a project manager/sub-project manager
* Min. 3 years of professional experience in operational engineering, particularly in the pharmaceutical environment
* Experience in refrigeration or heat pump technology is an advantage
* Experience in GMP is an advantage
* Joy and skill in dealing with other people
* Independent, team- and customer-oriented working style
* Strong leadership skills in a project environment
* Understanding and good orientation skills within a matrix organization
* Fluent written and spoken German, ideally English skills
