For our Network Modeling and Analysis team we are looking for an:
Intern Network Modelling and Analysis (80-100%, 9-12 months)
Participate in the power supply in Switzerland
In this exciting position, you will be carrying out power system simulations and grid calculations (state estimation, load flow, short-circuit, contingency analysis, etc.). You will also be responsible for the following tasks:
Modelling of the electrical grid of Switzerland
Analyzing the conformity of the Swiss Individual Network Models (IGM) with international standards (CGMES, CIM, etc.)
Following CGMES-related ENSTO-E processes (CGMS, OPDE, etc.)
Working in collaboration with other departments in Swissgrid
This is how you make the difference
For this internship, we are looking for a team player with a reliable, structured and quality-conscious way of working. You must also have the following:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, ideally with a focus on power systems, or an equivalent qualification
Very good knowledge of network analysis functions such as load flow, state estimation, contingency analysis
Experience in the use of offline electrical simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, ODMS, Simulink, etc.) and in script programming (e.g., Python)
Very good knowledge of English enables you to communicate effectively (knowledge of German or French is an advantage)
