**Salary and Benefits**
The monthly stipend ranges from 6287 to 6911 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax). Additionally, you will receive comprehensive health coverage for yourself, your spouse, and children. Membership in the CERN Pension Fund is also included.

**Job Description**
We are seeking a talented Digital IC Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing digital circuits enabling high-speed, radiation-tolerant silicon photonics systems. Your key responsibilities will include architectural design, RTL and physical implementation, as well as working with advanced CMOS technology nodes.
Key challenges you will address include multi-mode and multi-corner designs, power integrity analysis, and sign-off methodologies. You will also have the opportunity to perform hands-on electronics lab work, including circuit testing and characterization.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* RTL circuit design in Verilog
* Working knowledge of digital design flows, including synthesis, place-and-route, static timing analysis, physical and formal verification using Cadence Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Conformal or similar EDA tools
* Experience in power integrity analysis and sign-off using Cadence Voltus or similar EDA tools
* Working knowledge of at least one programming, scripting, or data analysis language (e.g., Python, Bash, MATLAB)
* Laboratory characterization of integrated circuits
* Passionate about CMOS circuit design and technology and eager to learn about our particular application
* You enjoy working in a small team building practical solutions in close collaboration with users and external partners
* Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French

A Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience are required. We do not have any previous contracts with CERN.
