About the Role
Are you passionate about improving patient access and making data-driven decisions that create real-world impact? We are looking for a Tender Specialist to join Abbott’s Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD). In this role, you will work closely with the Global Tender Management Head and cross-functional teams to strengthen our tender capabilities, enhance processes, and support markets in delivering winning strategies. This position offers strong exposure to global markets, senior stakeholders, and strategic initiatives—while giving you the opportunity to grow your expertise and shape how Abbott brings medicines to patients.
Responsibilities
* Market & Customer Insights: Support analysis of customer and market data to inform tender strategies; track market trends and pricing dynamics to identify opportunities and risks.
* Tender Strategy & Performance: Partner with the Global Tender Management Head to support strategy execution; monitor KPIs and prepare insights for stakeholders; collaborate with markets on high-priority tenders to maximize success.
* Processes & Tools: Help ensure consistent application of Abbott’s global tender process; support adoption and effective use of tender management systems; contribute to continuous improvements that enhance efficiency and outcomes.
* Planning & Coordination: Help maintain visibility of upcoming tender opportunities (9–12 months ahead); support preparation of cross-functional plans for key tenders.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across finance, supply chain, pricing, marketing, and local markets; facilitate communication across regions and functions; support and coordinate Tender Review Panels when needed.
* Capability Building: Support development of tools, training materials, and best practices; help strengthen capabilities across local teams.
* Customer Value: Contribute to the development of compelling value propositions tailored to customer needs.
* Ethics & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Abbott policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree or MBA is a plus, not a requirement).
* Experience: Experience in project management, commercial roles, or healthcare/pharma environments; exposure to tender processes or pricing strategies is an advantage; experience working across teams or regions is beneficial.
* Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to turn data into insights and actionable recommendations; collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams; clear communication and stakeholder management skills; interest in learning and developing in a global environment.
