Position Title: Instructional, Curriculum & Assessment Coach
Applicant must have a valid Montana Educator License with an elementary curriculum endorsement (preferred). Position Description
Facility: Crow Agency Public School, Fort Smith Elementary School, Hardin Primary School, etc.
Position Overview
The Instructional/Curriculum and Assessment Coach will work as a colleague with the Curriculum team and classroom teachers throughout the district to support student learning. The Coach will focus on individual and group professional development that expands and refines teachers’ understanding of evidence‑based instruction. Support will be tailored to the goals and identified needs of individual teachers and grade‑level/content groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 * Demonstrate willingness to assume leadership positions.
 * Observe classroom instruction, provide constructive feedback, and model best practice teaching strategies in all buildings.
 * Demonstrate knowledge of evidence‑based instructional strategies that engage all students.
 * Provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for instructional staff.
 * Demonstrate knowledge using a variety of assessment tools.
 * Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
 * Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data.
 * Assist teachers with specific instructional classroom lessons when requested.
 * Provide support for classroom motivation and management strategies.
 * Assist teachers in creating materials that align with curriculum.
 * Monitor intervention programs by observing and meeting with teachers.
 * Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software products and related technologies.
 * Assist in researching instructional and/or curriculum issues.
 * Provide encouragement and emotional support to teachers to improve student learning.
 * Encourage ongoing professional growth for all teachers.
 * Manage time and schedule flexibility that maximizes teacher schedules and learning.
 * Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals.
 * Assist with development of district curriculum, instruction and assessments.
 * Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers.
 * Obtain advance approval of the Principal/Curriculum Director for unique activities and expenditures.
 * Perform other duties as assigned by the Curriculum Director to enhance instruction.

Desired Minimum Qualifications
 * Valid Montana Teacher Certification with proper endorsement.
 * Master’s Degree preferred.
 * Experience in evidence‑based instructional practices.
 * Proficiency with curriculum software.
 * Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program.
 * Ability to plan lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students.
 * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the school community.
 * Ability to be flexible in scheduling and planning.
 * Ability to effectively use technology in the instructional/learning process.
 * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
 * Ability to handle stressful situations.
 * Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and student matters.
 * Ability to respond to change productively.
 * Ability to handle other tasks as assigned.
 * Ability to support the philosophy and vision of the school and the value of an Education.
 * Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and School Board policies.

Compensation
Salary Range: $41,838 – $66,335. Credit on the salary schedule will be given for up to ten years contracted teaching experience. A bonus of $2,500.00 will be added to the contracted amount for teachers who hold an MA degree.
