We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer & Deputy Team Lead for a top Swiss company in St Gallen.
This role emphasizes expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and network security technologies, particularly Sophos Firewall and Palo Alto Networks.
Your Responsibilities
* Support and ongoing development of a modern hybrid ICT infrastructure.
* Prioritize collaboration in the Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environment, including administration, optimization, and automation.
* Configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Sophos Firewall and Palo Alto network systems.
* Monitoring, analysis, and resolution of issues within existing systems and cloud services.
* Configuration and maintenance of network components, including corporate WLAN.
* Maintenance and support of our internal VMware ESXi environment and Windows Server infrastructure.
* Evaluation and implementation of new technologies and IT project management.
* Creating and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
* Coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
Your Profile
* Completed training in computer science with advanced technical qualifications.
* 5–7+ years of experience in IT with a focus on cloud and system engineering.
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Azure.
* Deep understanding of networking concepts and configuration, ideally Sophos and Palo Alto technologies.
* Familiarity with automation tools (PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible).
* Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipelines.
* Skilled in incident handling and emergency procedures.
