Basic Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of sales experience
* OR
* Completion of a Zurich-approved Apprenticeship program with an Associate Degree (no prior sales experience required).
* Ability to obtain insurance sales licenses where required.


Preferred Qualifications

* 4+ years of business-to-business outside sales experience.
* Strong understanding of direct sales principles, closing techniques, and industry-specific terminology.
* Familiarity with insurance industry regulations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Current insurance sales licenses (where required) or the ability to be licensed.
* Experience with financial statement analysis.


Background

Zurich Direct Markets specializes in offering Property and Casualty insurance and F&I products to the automotive industry, supported by a dedicated field sales team that regularly engages directly with clients. In this role, we’re seeking a top-performing individual with exceptional outside sales skills.


Responsibilities

* Identifying and developing new business prospects, focusing on providing Property and Casualty insurance to large automotive dealers, while also supporting F&I product marketing within the assigned territory.
* Attending Automotive industry events to promote Zurich’s sales and marketing initiatives.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
* Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders via various channels (in-person and virtual) to maintain solid relationships.
* Managing and growing your assigned territory to achieve profitability and exceed sales targets.
* Conducting sales presentations either in-person or via Microsoft Teams.
* Collaborating with field team members to ensure seamless implementation of programs and products, while strengthening customer relationships.
* Working remotely in an entrepreneurial environment.

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us.

The annual variable compensation range, based on performance under the sales incentive plan for this role, is $225,000 - $275,000. This position included a variable component that is based on an individual's performance under the applicable sales incentive plan.
