The CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer – CSA is responsible for leading sourcing activities for Construction Services within capital investment projects. The role ensures alignment between Lonza’s business needs and supply market capabilities, driving cost optimisation, supplier performance and risk mitigation. Acting as a strategic partner to Engineering and Project teams, this position supports Lonza’s growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Run RFx and vendor selection processes during early project phases and execution
* Identify current and future business needs through close stakeholder engagement
* Develop and implement the CSA category strategy aligned with supply market capabilities
* Align procurement objectives with Global Engineering and Project teams
* Lead cost reduction, value engineering and productivity initiatives
* Drive supplier relationship management, development and performance improvement
* Manage supplier compliance, scorecards and KPIs
* Act as senior escalation point for supplier and customer concerns
* Support contracts, claims and dispute management
* Develop and execute supply risk mitigation strategies
* Negotiate Construction Services, Framework and Master Agreements
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree; strong technical understanding of Civil Engineering / Construction
* Master’s degree in Business Management preferred
* 10+ years procurement experience, 5+ years in category management
* Strong CSA / CAPEX sourcing experience
* Experience in regulated industries (pharma, biotech, food, cosmetics)
* Demonstrated success delivering measurable sourcing results
