Solar Project Engineer Assistant - Renewable Energy Development

Description: The Solar Project Engineer Assistant supports the Project Engineer in managing engineering services to design and develop solar PV projects.
* The role involves tracking progress of engineering deliverables based on project schedule milestones & deadlines, as well as coordinating multidisciplinary design reviews at various stages.
* Responsibilities include assisting with generating, issuing, resolving, and closing out requests for information, technical enquiry forms, and submittals, ensuring that all superseded drawings, specifications, and documents are marked as such.
* This position requires coordination with personnel from other departments within the company, liaising with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors in the direction of the Project Engineer.
* The engineer will work on implementing and maintaining redline process generation of As Built design, maintaining field redline drawings of all construction work, and collaborating with electrical and civil engineering staff on project layouts.
* Additional responsibilities include working with project teams to implement and maintain engineering processes, consulting with engineering staff, and assisting with other duties assigned by the project team.

Requirements and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in electrical or civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
* Engineering experience performing development of solar projects in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
* Demonstrated experience managing outside engineering firms
* Proficiency with reading blueprints, plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
* An interest in renewable energy development and design
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Procore or similar construction management software
Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP certification
* NCEES Council Record
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and installation contractors
* Good problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, and a proactive work ethic
* Strong ability to apply innovative and creative skills to problem-solving
Salary Range:
$85,000 - $105,000 / annually
