Job Title: System Architect
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Hybrid (3 days office)
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for maintaining information about Configuration Items (CIs) required to deliver an IT service, including their relationships.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to shape the business vision/architecture, and to establish high-level solution intent (incl. blueprints, initial roadmap, information models, documentation of requirements and dependencies).
* Responsible for the architectural design within a defined "scope" (e.g., domain).
* Define systems and their interfaces.
* Draft business and technical architecture for the IT system in support of new business features and capabilities (incl. technical vision, blueprint, and technical design support).
* Support adherence to appropriate architecture standards and ensure availability of the new system architecture for design and implementation teams.
* Support the definition of NFRs (non-functional requirements) and ensure they are implemented accordingly.
* Responsible for life cycle management of the architecture and the quality of the architecture of the system.
* Identify risks regarding the deviation of standards and innovations and collaborate with discipline architects to address them.
* Work with portfolio and ART architects, customers and suppliers to align on shared architectural directions.
* Work with suppliers, making sure that architectural characteristics for supplier-delivered capabilities are understood and aligning with the architectural integration of these concerns.
Required skills and experience:
* Independent, efficient, proactive and meticulous ways of working.
* High attention to quality management, operational level IT security and risk management.
* Able to work under pressure and manage a portfolio of risks.
* Strong project management certification/skills (schedule, planning, and activity management).
* Very well acquainted with service design and software development principles, standards, software solution and service design.
* Architecture foundation/knowledge; good knowledge of methods and new ways of working (Agile, DevOps & Continuous Integration, etc.), modeling, principles and standards, and frameworks.
* Good knowledge of application integration architecture, technologies and patterns and security architecture (standards and frameworks).
* Good understanding and experience in business architecture, analysis and requirements engineering.
* Relevant higher education and professional background.
