Assistant Executive Housekeeper
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of motivating and training housekeeping staff. They will be responsible for supervising all housekeeping employees, ensuring a smooth operation within the department, and responding to guest feedback and requests.
About the Job
* Motivate, train, supervise, evaluate, and counsel housekeeping staff.
* Plan daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly assignments and projects for room attendants, guest floor attendants, public area coordinators, and office coordinators.
* Perform administrative duties, including departmental scheduling, payroll, purchase requests, and monthly consumption reports.
* Implement control on department labor costs and minimize costs while ensuring adequate staffing to provide five-star services.
* Schedule walk-throughs and follow up with outside contractors.
* Maintain an ongoing Safe & Sound program.
* Assume responsibilities of the Executive Housekeeper during their absence.
* Conduct daily inspections of public areas, guestrooms, exterior of buildings, and back-of-house areas to ensure high standards are met.
* Monitor progress, ensure completion of deep cleaning programs, and assign tasks to housekeeping staff.
Requirements
* 3-5 years of professional experience in a comparable position in the luxury hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in German and English.
* Flexibility and resilience, including ability to work weekend and holiday shifts.
