The role
We’re looking for a Procurement Specialist (Freelance / Contractor) to spearhead sourcing and procurement efforts for our upcoming Boundless Life’s Japan launch.
This 4-month (4hs/day), project-based contract is remote (within Japan) and reports to the Expansion Project Manager.
You'll be responsible for executing a comprehensive procurement strategy across three key property types: Homes, Education Centers, and Hub Spaces. You’ll manage everything from sourcing and vendor negotiation to order placement and delivery coordination—ensuring materials and services meet high-quality standards while aligning with local requirements and our brand identity.

????About you
Fluent in Japanese and English, with strong communication skills for vendor negotiations and documentation.
You have 4+ years of procurement experience in Japan, ideally in hospitality, education, or service industries.
You know the ins and outs of local supplier landscapes and have a strong network to support efficient and cost-effective procurement.
Experienced in managing vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring compliance with local safety and regulatory standards.
You’re a self-starter, comfortable working independently in dynamic, project-based environments.
Bonus if you have importation and customs experience, especially for regulated or high-quality goods.
You take pride in being organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused—delivering on procurement timelines and contributing to a seamless project rollout.
