For our client we are currently looking for Research Chemists.
Contract: 1 year
Key Accountabilities
* Execute synthetic routes safely, sustainably, and effectively, leveraging support platforms (e.g., automation, analytical tools, purification systems) to optimize efficiency.
* Design efficient synthetic routes for target molecules and sets of molecules, applying knowledge, experience, and digital tools independently and collaboratively.
* Conduct detailed risk assessments for experimental procedures and raw materials, adhering to HSE standards.
* Document and communicate experimental methods and data with scientific accuracy and detailed observations to ensure reproducibility, secure intellectual property, and enable digital integration.
* Solve and troubleshoot synthetic chemistry challenges independently and collaboratively within projects.
* Maintain up-to-date expertise in modern synthetic methods and technologies through continuous professional development.
* Identify, address, and escalate barriers to improve laboratory safety and productivity, contributing to ongoing improvements in laboratory operations and practices.
Qualifications
* A master's degree or 3–5 years of industrial experience following full training through an apprenticeship program in synthetic chemistry is required.
Experience & Skills
* Strong proficiency in synthetic organic chemistry, including reaction design, retrosynthesis, troubleshooting, purification, and structural elucidation, all while adhering to high HSE standards.
* Ability to work effectively within teams and independently with a collaborative and self‑motivated approach.
* Experience with software tools used for synthesis design and data analysis.
Languages
* Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills valued.
