We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution in Zurich, Switzerland.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Java development, with expertise in Spring / Spring Boot.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our financial platforms and applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
YOUR CHALLENGE
1. Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for our financial products and services
2. Backend Development: Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. Optimize server-side performance and ensure data integrity and security
3. System Integration: Integrate various financial systems and third-party services, ensuring smooth data flow and interoperability
4. Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD
5. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the stack, providing support for both development and production environments
6. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables
YOUR PROFILE
7. Solid hands-on experience in Java development with a strong grasp of Core Java, including collections, JSON processing, JDBC, and build tools like Maven
8. Demonstrated proficiency with the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot, JPA, JDBC templates, and messaging components such as JMS
9. Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments, including Microsoft Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with foundational knowledge of microservices architecture
10. Basic competence in Unix/Linux systems and bash scripting for automation and operational tasks
11. Commitment to high-quality code, evidenced by rigorous code review practices and attention to development standards
12. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies, supporting agile and continuous delivery practices
13. Knowledge of API security mechanisms, including OAuth2 and related identity and access management standards
14. Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and make sound technical and operational decisions
15. Proven collaboration skills, with comfort working in a global, cross-site team environment (e.g., Zurich and Singapore)
16. Problem-solving mindset, strong teamwork orientation, and experience thriving in agile project settings; financial sector exposure is advantageous
17. Fluent in English (verbal / written), additional languages are nice-to-have
